Robert Ferrier was born in Hugo, OK. He was a three-year football
letterman at Hugo High School, where he was a member of the National
Honor Society. He was named Oklahoma City Times Lineman of the Week for
a 90-yard interception return for a touchdown in the last minute of a
game with arch-rival Idabel.
He received a BA in Journalism (Professional Writing) from the
University of Oklahoma, and later received an MBA. After serving two
years as an Officer in the U.S. Army, he worked as a technical Writer
for Martin-Marietta Corp. in Orlando, Fla. He then worked 30 years in
research administration at the University of Oklahoma before retiring
to devote more time to writing.
